Fatal crash at Magnolia Four Corners intersection

A Friday collision at the Magnolia Four Corners junction of Routes 18 and 89 left three people dead and others injured. Fire crews from multiple towns battled flames, coroner plans an inquest, and local residents propose safety fixes including a four-way stop and clearer signage.

Next Week's Paper Delayed One Day for Memorial Day

Memorial Day falls on Monday this year so Henry News will publish Thursday June 2 instead of its usual day. Advertisers and contributors should submit early. The June 2 issue will feature graduation photos from Henry Senach wine high school and Henry grade school. The regular Wednesday schedule will resume June 8.

The Henry Senachwine Alumni Association sets a May 31 deadline for reservations for the 74th annual reunion and banquet on June 4 at 6 30 p m at Henry Senachwine High School. Honored guests will include the graduating class of 1966 with special notes for classes 1916 1944 1956 and 1961.

Henry Jaycees Install Officers at Hotel Henry

Installation of officers for the coming year was held Saturday evening at the Hotel Henry by the Henry Junior Chamber of Commerce. Seventeen couples attended the dinner and dance. New officers include Ezio Basile president and Ken neth Rickey internal VP.

Henry Grade School Graduation June 2

A class of 50 will be graduated from the Henry grade school in exercises at the school at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2. The program will be presented by P. R. Dasdano, superintendent, and diplomas will be presented by Charles B. Cooper, president of the board of education. Miss Marilyn Doran will present the scholarship awards, and Commander Don Clark will present the Legion awards.

Henry Senachwine High School Baccalaureate and Commencement Plans

Baccalaureate services are set for May 29 at 8 p.m. in the Henry Senachwine High School gym with Rev. Marshall Simpson delivering the sermon titled Four F's Do Not Spell Failure. Commencement for 53 seniors follows June 3 at 8 p.m. in the gym with dual addresses by Paulette Sancken and Paul Yarrington, awards, diplomas, and a farewell program.

Henry City Dog Licenses Sold by Two Schoolgirls

A total of 244 dog licenses were sold in Henry this year by Melissa Duke and Christine Clark. They earned a sliding scale of 20 to 50 cents per tag, receiving $44.75 each. Most dogs in Henry now wear license tags.
