Lostant Community High School will end the year with commencement events starting Wednesday evening with the senior class night program. Decoration Day Observance Planned by Veterans Groups
Henry post 323 American Legion and the W A C along with the Legion Auxiliary will lead Decoration Day exercises next Wednesday. They will assemble at 9 a m at the American Legion hall and proceed to Henry City cemetery where W B R C members, with Legion and Auxiliary, will conduct services. Celestia A. Willoughby daughter of James G. and Janet Gates Willoughby was born January 17, 1844 in Madison county Illinois. She married Benjamin Cressey January 1 1863 and had seven children four survived. The family moved to Springfield in 1898. Following Chicago's stockyards fire last Saturday, most International Livestock Show portraits and records were destroyed. The exception was a portrait of I. M. Forbes, former Marshall Putnam man and father of Rank C. Forbes, now in Chicago. The Standard Livestock Commission offices, where Forbes is employed, were also reported destroyed.
