Magnolia resident Alex McKirgan dies at 54
Alexander McKirgan, longtime Magnolia resident, died at his home on May 13 after a brief illness of pneumonia. He was 54. Funeral services were held at his Magnolia home with Rev. Austin A. Rodgers. the Magnolia Community Church supplied the sermon and A.B. Smith of Henry led arrangements. The Lestant band attended, performing at the house and cemetery. He was born December 22, 1877, in Wenona, moved to Magnolia as a child, and married Jennie Davidson in 1902. they had three children John Dorothy and Walter.

Wenona Wins Tri County Meet At Fairgrounds

Lostant finished second 22, Henry 20, with Varna 17 and Swaney 16 in a chilly, brisk afternoon for events. Car Damaged In Accident Near St David Sunday
A Ford roadster owned by Paul Barth of this city and driven by Harold Friday received extensive damage when Friday swerved to avoid a head on crash near St David Sunday. A following car ahead turned onto a side road without warning. Passengers Paul Mattern James Drew Katherine Drew Dorothy Gubbins and Olive Landis sustained only minor injuries. The car was towed to Henry by the Henry Motor Co. wrecker.
