Dally Buried in Putnam After Long Illness
Mahlon Alonzo Dally died at his Putnam home on Tuesday May 9 1950 after years of illness and hospitalizations. He was born February 20 1874 near Putnam, married Belle Shimel in 1901, and spent most of his life farming then in retail. He was an active church and community member, survived by his wife, a brother George Daily, two nieces and many friends. Funeral services were held at Boose Funeral Home and the Christian church in Putnam with two organ selections and prayers, interment in Putnam Cemetery. Pallbearers included John Wherry Lawrence Daniels Harold Condit Roger Atkins Francis Murphy and P W Schlosser.
