Theodore Clark 74 Dies After Long Life of Farming
Theodore Parker Clark a native of Bureau county Illinois died at 74 years 2 months 25 days after a long farming life. He lived in Henry for the past six years and was married to Lucy G Calef in 1887 for 36 years until her death. Surviving relatives include Mrs Melick a niece Morgan and four nephews Elmer Edwin Harry and Austin Clark. Funeral held at the M E church with Rev Ivins Chatten officiating. Interment in Henry cemetery with six pallbearers. Out of town mourners included Fred Townsend Edwin Clark Austin Clark.

Carl Olaf Flesberg of Richland township died at his home May 9 1928 at 5 30 am aged 62 years 5 months 29 days after a six month decline. He was born November 10 1866 in Doderkhuhl Cong Sweden came to America in 1881 married Hedda Charlotta Jacobson January 16 1890. He leaves a wife six children two Swedish sisters and seven grandchildren. Funeral held at home and Swedish Lutheran church Varna Rev K A Nilsson officiating. Burial Salem cemetery.

McNabb 4-H Girls Organize in First Meeting
The Banner Blue reports the McNabb 4-H club held its first organization meeting at leader Mrs. Albert Perdew's home on May 10. Officers were elected: President Clara Haun, Vice-President Eunice Krafft, secretary Bernice Daily ng, and Cheerleader Catherine Krafft. They explained record books filled enrollment blanks passed sewing machine tests and made hot dish holders. After a half hour of recreation, the meeting adjourned to meet May 24.

Trip To Paris Shows Draw Hearty Local Support

The Marshall County Bankers Federation won the Certificate of Merit for Group Two of the Illinois Bankers Association for a second time. The honor cites progress in cooperative methods and depositor protection. Marshall County defeated Woodford, Tazewell, Peoria, Fulton and McDonough counties. The Group Two meeting in Macomb, Illinois, next Monday will feature the presentation of the award.

Ray Strosnader Involved In Roadside Accident Near Henry Cemetery
Ray Strosnader of Putnam was injured Thursday evening when the Ford sedan he rode in overturned on the hard road near Henry Cemetery. He lost control while returning to Putnam and plunged into a ditch. He was rushed to the local hospital and is progressing as well as can be expected.

Henry High earned first place with 43 5 points at the Marshall County Track and Athletic Meet held at the Fair grounds. Wenona took second with 31 1 3, Toluca third with 17 1 6, Sparland 16, Lacon 9, and Varna 1 1 6. Washburn led the grade meet with 18 points, Toluca 15, Henry and Wenona five each for third and fourth, while Lacon had four. Henry’s team dominated, with Lawrence Green and Wilfred Wright as high-point men, and many Henry athletes placing in events. Girls tennis singles crowned Henry and Lacon, with Henry winning doubles.
