Attack Case In Lacon Involves 18 Year Old
George Linscott, 18, of Lacon, was arrested and held on $3,000 bond after allegedly attacking the eight year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Nightwonger of Sparland. He appeared before Justice J H Adams and was bound over to the grand jury, jailed in Marshall county awaiting action.

Indian Burial Ground Becomes a Museum Near Putnam
The Chief Senachwine mounds near Putnam Illinois have been turned into a park and museum opened by landowners Walter Winship and George Wheeler. They spent 39 years collecting over 5 000 Indian relics including 600 pieces of money from graves and a 20 pound stone axe. Visitors pay 25 cents and arrive via signs along the state highway with daily access and Sunday hours.

Third Beef Club Tour Held Saturday in Local Townships
The third and final beef calf club tour took place Saturday across townships west of the river. Thirty five youth and some parents attended, with most calves in good condition though a few need more corn and linseed oil meal to finish by fair time. Seven grade schools Washburn Henry Rutland Venona Toluca Tonica and Magnolia will compete in a track and field meet at the Fair Grounds tomorrow. Anglers Over 21 Require Illinois Fishing Licenses
A revision in the state fishing code requires all persons over 21 to obtain an Illinois state fishing license. Minors are exempt. Resident licenses cost 50 cents and non-resident licenses cost 33. Licenses take effect April 1 for the following year and are available at the city clerk’s office.

Warning Issued To The Dog Poisoners In Town
A petition is circulating to raise a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone poisoning domestic animals in the township. Conviction carries one to three years in prison or a fine up to $1,000 or both. Dogs belonging to Lawrence Hunt and Owen Allen were poisoned this week.
