He will supervise plants at Henry Hennepin Chillicothe Manito Kilbourne Nakford and others while remaining based in Henry for now. Henry Township High School board voted to offer contracts to all current faculty members for the coming year with the same salaries as this year. Staff include Roy Steele principal and grade-school superintendent, Gretchen Schiffbauer, Dorothy Mier, Ruth Mercian, Orville E Smith, William Bennington, Olga Merdian, and Frances Newland. Newland resigned before the term begins and will be replaced. The meeting also approved purchasing a new electric refrigerator for the home economics department.

William Maubach Dies At Daughter Home
William George Maubach died at his daughter's home Sunday May 8 at 3 40 am. Born October 8 1869 in Hopewell Township he was 68 years seven months old. He married Clara Anna Schmitt January 24 1893 and leaves two daughters three grandchildren a sister two half brothers and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held May 10 at his daughter's home with Rev W J Carpenter speaking. Interment was at Henry City Cemetery beside his wife.

Services for Frances Elizabeth Kapraun were held at St Marys Church. She died Saturday after a short Rocky Mountain spotted fever illness at St Francis Hospital Peoria. Miss Hayline Survives Cow Herd Crash on Route 789
Ruth Hayline of Henry driving from Princeton to Tiskilwa collided with a herd of cows four miles south of Princeton. She steered to avoid most cows but hit one, killing it. her Plymouth sedan sustained about 86 dollars in damage covered by insurance. The owner of the herd could not be identified.

Depositors approve sale plan for Henry National Bank assets
