The proposal would commit the city to 750000 in revenue bonds to be paid by users with significant annual costs and potential property liens for nonpayment.

Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp awards a contract to W E O Neil Construction Co for a three story cold mill office building at the new Hennipin Illinois steel plant. The 48000 square foot facility will house offices, metallurgy lab, testing facilities, a computerized information center, employment and medical facilities and be connected to the main plant by an elevated walkway.

No Injuries In Grade School Bus Accident
A Henry Grade School bus driven by Deryl Schertz pulled onto Route 29 a mile north of Henry at 7 15 a m and struck a south bound car driven by Susan Read of Putnam. There were only minor damages and no injuries or tickets. Trooper Joe Roberts investigated.
