Bradley Johnson of Granville and Mendota hosts the Friendship Tour for Mendota and Peoria Antique Automobile clubs. The trophy will be awarded to the favorite car when the tour visits Henry on Saturday June 3.
A historic car show and tour will begin June 3 in Henry with a Chamber of Commerce luncheon at 11 39 am. Spectators vote for their favorite vehicle and the owner receives a trophy before a parade through the Henry business district. Cars from the Fendota Antique Auto Club participate again this year.
The event is a Mother’s Breakfast at St Josephs on May 21. Co chairs Mary Landers and Rose Carroll coordinate, with Har County volunteers arranging setup and calls for attendees.
Mrs Beulah Swengel was honored at Ottawa grade school teachers annual recognition dinner held at the Ottawa Lutheran church. The speech correctionist with 41 years of teaching experience will join a LaSalle county handicapped clinic, continuing work in speech and related fields. Her son Robert Swengel of Henry and daughter Mrs Chester Novak of Granville attended as guests.
At the eight o'clock Mass Sunday May 14 fourteen children will receive their first Holy Communion at St Marys church. The class includes eight girls and six boys. Members named are Audrey Cordes Rebecca Hodge Robert Hofer Cynthia Kaliher Carolann Klein Stephen Klein John Monter David Nauman John Neuhalsen John Rosewall Mark Schlosser Sharon Stange Connie Stroup and Nancy Wahel.
Henry Senachwine high school's music department presents its annual spring concert Friday evening at 8 o'clock in the auditorium under director Plynn Pennock. Choir soprano Anne Foster Kathryn Brennan Patty Wilson and Jean Finfgeld will perform five numbers with piano accompaniment. band members from Henry grade school join the high school band for the finale. Public invited.
Mrs Anna Melone 80 died Tuesday at Mo line Hospital in Kewanee mother of Clarence Melone and Alfred Locke. Funeral services set for Friday at Seifert-Creamer funeral home in Kewanee with visitation Thursday evening.
Thurman Masterson a well known Camp Grove resident died early today at St Francis hospital Peoria after a week there. He leaves a wife four children Francois Washington DC John Camp Grove Mss Gene Horrie Bradford and Sister Mary Patricia Peoria plus several grandchildren. Funeral services set for St Patrick's Church Camp Grove Friday at 7 00 pm with visitation at Coax Funeral Home Wyoming Thursday evening and Rosary at 8 30.
Ben Greiner son of Mr and Mrs Rel Greiner selected to attend Premier Boys State this summer under Henry Post 32 American Legion. Alternate delegate is Bob Dewes son of Mr and Mrs Robert Dewey. The 25th annual Boys State runs at the state fairgrounds in Spangheld from June 25 to July 1961.
The memory book committee of the Henry-Senachwine alumni association met last Wednesday at chairwoman Mrs Charles Bourdette’s home. Attendees included Mrs Ray Hunt Mrs Gend bickerman and alumni president William Miler. A report on committee plans will be given next week.
Sunday's morning worship at First Christian Church will observe Mother's Day with the Youth Choir singing from the loft and a responsive pastoral prayer. A sermon titled Building a Chatstaan will be delivered as mothers attending are welcomed and a corsage pinned by a high school parishioner.

Henrys Chamber of Commerce announces Saturday night Henry games begin June 3 on Edward Street. Ernest Rose secretary manager says pricing will be provided for each weekly program by local trusts and Henrys committee members.
Dr F J Ziegler, chief of the Vision of pyetamite medicine at Senpps Clinte and Ressareh Foun Aatieam, delivered a scientific paper before the American Psychiatric Association in Chicago. The TONAL meeting occurred at Morrison Hotel, Tuesday through Friday this week, with Ziegler outlining his latest research and related clinical insights.
