Theodore Parker Clark aged 74 years 2 months 25 days died after a three week illness at the local hospital on Wednesday May 9 1928. The remains lie in state at his sister Mrs Ellen Melick’s home on Market Street until the funeral Saturday at 2 30 in the M E church conducted by Rev Ivins Chatten.

Theod ere Manor born March 8 1857 Fort Wayne Indiana died May 2 1928 Battle Creek Michigan aged 71 years 2 months and 24 days. His wife Mrs Lillie Buck survives him with two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held in Battle Creek and the remains interred in Henry cemetery with local casket bearers.

Sparland man dies after passing object strike
The coroner's inquest found Chester Hoadley, about 24, of Sparland, died at Henry hospital after being struck by a passing object while walking north of Sparland on the hard road. He dragged fifty feet beside passing cars, was found around 11 PM, and died around 3 AM after transfer for treatment. He resided with his father William Hoadley and worked on the railroad, with family in New Mexico awaiting funeral services.
