Kerosene Stove Explodes Start Fire at Home
Explosion of a kerosene stove at the home of Mr and Mrs George Anderson occurred Tuesday around 9 am. The stove was pitched out a kitchen door by the family and the fire was extinguished. Ceiling smoke damaged two rooms and a new oil stove was destroyed. Fire department was not required to stay.

Subscriptions Paid Up for Postal Compliance

Emmett and Edna Wunder mourn the loss of their infant son Francis Emmett Wunder born July 16 1929 at Metamora Illinois and died May 2 after milk infection. Funeral held at St Marys Church in Metamora with burial in Calvary cemetery as a large group of relatives and friends attended.

County Superintendent Willard King receives 12532.67 from Illinois auditor Oscar Nelson for 1930 tax collections. Five thousand four hundred five dollars and sixty seven cents remain to be forwarded when distribution occurs. Funds are to be shared among township school treasuries once collected.

Adam Halbleib of McNabb collided with an oncoming car on a dike road. He swerved right to avoid, missed his bearing, and the vehicle went over the embankment but was stopped by a stump. Halbleib was pinned under the car until timely help arrived. the wrecked vehicle was to Henry by a wrecker.
