LaPrairie Pioneer Henry Burnett Dies at 84
Funeral services for Henry Burnett of LaPrairie will be held Friday at 2 30 p m at the U P Church conducted by Rev Paul Sharpe. Burnett born October 5 1943 in LaPrairie Township died at 84 6 after a long illness. He spent his life in the community and was a longtime farmer and church supporter. Surviving relatives include his brother James Speer N H and three nieces Mrs Calder LaPrairie Mrs William Madison and Mrs J R Blackwell Sparland plus many cousins and friends. Richard Martin of Peoria will sing two solos at the service with local pallbearers listed.

Henry High School seniors Robert Ziegler and Joseph Moih sher traveled Monday and Tuesday to Chicago for Navy V-12 physical exams at the Board of Trade building. Both passed and wait for official notification on hopeful admission to the five semester college training before active duty. Also in Chicago, the pair stayed at the YMCA hotel and attended two shows. William Forrest, another senior, will go to Chicago Friday for the same Navy V-12 tests.

City Report Shows Balances in All Funds
The city council reports a sound financial condition after two years in office with a general fund balance of 2225.48 and more than 1500 remaining after May bills. City of Henry to Pay Bond Installment on Schedule
