George W Bean dies in Kewanee after illness
George William Bean died Monday in Kewanee after a long illness and a brain hemorrhage suffered while on his way to work. He was born June 12, 1868, married Nettie Sutherland in 1883, and lived in Henry, near Whitefield, and later Kewanee. He was a farmer, merchant, and grain elevator worker, and a member of Masons Modern Woodmen and the Christian church. Funeral services were held in Kewanee with Masons in charge and Rev. W. D. Oliver officiating. Interment at Pleasant View cemetery. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Cecil Rowe Involved In Roadside Collision Near Sparland
Sunday afternoon Cecil Rowe and Ipla Lutes struck a car stopped on the hard road near Sparland while rain reduced visibility. The Walnut occupants were fixing a tire. Miss Lutes had facial cuts and a sprained ankle, Rowe was uninjured, Mrs Rowe’s car was badly wrecked and the other vehicle escaped damage.

Elmwood Man Dies After Long Illness At Home
Former Elmwood resident Harry Niece died Friday at his son Donald Niece’s home in Elmwood after years of poor health. Born December 3 1863 in La Porte Indiana he later lived in Henry Williamsfield and Elmwood where he built a successful business. He married Lacey Christian July 20 1886 and was a member of Horeh Lodge No 368 A F & A M Eastern Star No 251 and the Elmwood Congregational church. Survived by his wife and two sons Harry and Donald funeral services were held at the Elmwood home Monday with masons conducting last rites at the grave.

The body of Frank Brutcher, 73, who disappeared from Averyville April 22, was recovered in the Illinois River near Peoria. A bullet wound to the head suggests suicide by shooting and fall from the old upper river bridge. Burial services were held in Peoria and Tiskilwa Baptist church.
