Henry residents will attend a three session program titled The Store with lectures on Advertising Display and Promotion Personal Selling and Customer Services Financial Management by Prof Olson and Prof Bauer from Illinois and Minnesota. The course includes a dinner and materials for 15 dollars per person with minimum twenty enrollments.

Marshall and Putnam counties begin annual rounds Friday April 1 to set valuations. Floyd Robinson, county treasurer and supervisor of assessments, announced the valuation schedule on March 24 listing rates for livestock, poultry, milk cows, horses, sheep, swine, grain and other personal property, household goods, farm machinery and more. Roberts Township Seeks Highway Tax Increase Vote Set April 12
Roberts township will hold a vote on April 12 during the state primary to raise the road tax rate from 1.65 percent of full value to 2.8 percent. Current revenue about $8,000 yearly, but with winter damage and heavier traffic officials seek about $13,500 annually. Supervisor Carl Junker says damage has surpassed previous years and officials aim for a rate below the maximum 3.3 percent.

Albert Lorenzi Toluca Council Member Dies
Albert Lorenzi a Toluca city council member died at his home in Toluca on Monday March 28 after months of ill health. He was 48 born March 4 1912 at Seatonville son of George and Zelma Lorenzi. He married Lena Turni Nov 16 1935 and worked as a cutter at Toluca Garment Co. Survived by wife a son Jerry a daughter Suzanne at home a brother Leo Detroit and four sisters Jennie Benturelli Katherine Stern Nora Schnider and Dorothy Blanco. Burial followed at St Ann's parish cemetery in Toluca after funeral at St Ann's Church conducted by Rev John Schumacher. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4007 and the Sportsman's Club of Marshall County. He also belonged to St Ann's Church.
