Large attendance expected as the Carrell College of Waukesha Wisconsin A Capella Choir stops in Henry. Snowstorm Delays School Dismissals In Henry County
An all day blizzard dropped 12 inches of snow Monday delaying travel and prompting Henry County schools to dismiss early. Henry-Senachwine High reported 18 absences with 9 Tuesday, while grade school attendance rose from illness and snow impact with 30 percent illness and 15 percent weather related. Nurses monitored pupils with symptoms as a warm spell began melting the snow by Wednesday afternoon.

Funeral services for George MV Kelly 72 retired farmer who died at St Francis hospital were held at St Marys church this morning. The Rev Laurence Schumacher officiated the high mass with interment in St Patricks cemetery Camp Grove. Mrs Mary McCall 86 known as the Grandma Moses of Magnolia Illinois Putnam county community. She took up painting at 76 and favors landscapes winter scenes and river valleys. Painting began after a Christmas gift of oil paints eleven years ago and she continues painting with three daughters and a son in the family.
