Paul Myers a seventh grader won the Henry Grade School Spelling Bee over runner up Joan Barker an eighth grader daughter of Melvin Barker. Myers spelled catamaran correctly and fiendish to clinch the title among 24 contestants. The event was judged by Mrs Goldsmith with words pronounced by Superintendent H R Herink. The Marshall County Spelling Bee is set for 10 a m at Lacon in April with both finalists joining the contest.
