One Killed in Varma Accident Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Dorothy Vogelsang of West Brooklyn near Mendotas was killed instantly when the car her son Thomas drove collided with an auto transport truck at the junction of routes 17 and 82 yesterday afternoon around 4 15. Thomas Vogelsang his wife Mary and their nine month old son Thomas Jr were taken to St Margaret s hospital Spring Valley for treatment of minor injuries. James Herring of Lansing Michigan driver of the truck was uninjured. The Vogelsangs were north on route 89 as another car passed obscuring their view. State highway officer George Michaels investigated the crash. An inquest was tentatively set for today with time unannounced. Marshall county coroner Roy Brown to conduct the inquest.

The rate rise of May 1953 funded improvements and staff training. Henry customers now average 1 085 local and 215 long distance calls daily, with Henry assets around $54.3 million and local payroll near $264,000. The company emphasizes its community role and tax contributions totaling $224,000 in taxes and related withholdings.

Jubilee Mass Marks St Patrick Camp Grove Anniversary
The St Patrick parish of Camp Grove observed the golden jubilee of laying the church corner-stone with a solemn high mass at 10 am on March 17.
