McNabb Grain Company Erects New Elevator in McNabb
The McNabb Grain Company began erecting a new elevator east of water street at a projected cost of 11 7000 with a total near 15 000 upon completion. George Saathoff of Pontiac Ill leads the project employing 12 men with completion set for June 15. The facility will store 238 000 bushels, replacing a 25 000 bushel old elevator on the Rutland To Jaca line and will be served by the New York Central railroad. Edwin O Gunn presides the company which has 26 years of operation and a cash balance of 18 000 with no borrowing planned.

Bracken Rites Held for Former Putnam Resident
William A. Bracken 62 of Park Ridge Illinois died Friday at his home. He was born near Putnam March 2 1876, pursued education at Dixon College and University of Illinois, worked long in railroad service in Chicago including as train auditor. He leaves wife Corinne Lenhof two sons William L. and Frederick N., two brothers Hiram N. and LeRoy, and other relatives. Services were held in Chicago and Henry with interment in Putnam Cemetery.
