Derailment at Wilburn disrupts rail line in Marshall County
A westbound Santa Fe Freight train derailed Sunday around 2 30 am about 200 yards west of the Wilburn crossing in Marshall County. Eighteen to twenty rail cars left the tracks, some piggyback loaded with semis, tearing up both track sets and snapping communication lines. The engine continued to Chillicothe with remaining cars. Cleanup crews worked into Monday afternoon. no injuries were reported.
