Clarence Poling of Peoria Heights, a former Henry resident, died Friday morning March 14 at Methodist hospital Peoria. Funeral services were held Monday at Wilton mortuary Peoria officiated by Capt David Levert Salvation Army with burial in Heart City cemetery. Sedwin Barry chaplain and Henry Post American Legion conducted graveside rites. Color guards and firing squad members named. Poling and wife Lila Bell had previously lived in Henry before moving to Peoria.

The Red Cross bloodmobile will visit Henry this Friday March 21 from 10 30 to in the Marshall Putnam Farm community room. Volunteers are needed to meet the quota and walk in donors are welcome. Sunday Morning Fire Destroys Stoner Family Trailer
A trailer home at 608 Thomas Street owned by Mrs Mildred Stoner of Henry burned last Sunday around 11 35 am. Neighbors alerted authorities and all family members were away at the time. The trailer interior was badly damaged though much contents were a total loss. insurance covered a good portion of possessions. The Stoners have relocated to the Bernard Bergantz home in Henry. Marshal Stoner nicknamed Stokey starred for the Henry Mallards last season and Bob Stoner played for the Henry grade school heavyweight team.
