Born December 28 1908 in Chillicothe she was the eldest daughter in a 13 child family. Funeral Friday at 2 00 p m at Saratoga M E Church conducted by Rev Eckstrom with burial to follow.

Princeton man injured in Sparland auto crash
Robert B. Beatty Jr. of Princeton was injured Friday night when a southbound car forced his Ford off the road near Sparland. Beatty’s head wound required urgent treatment. he bled heavily before a doctor arrived. His companion Arthur Nordstrom was uninjured.

Mary Zenor Towle Dies After 24 Years in Hospital
Mary Zenor Towle daughter of Lizzie E Zenor and the late Mary Zenor was born October 4 1875 at Magnolia. She taught in Putnam and Bureau counties and married Walker Towle of Abingdon June 14 1900. She spent years in hospital due to tuberculosis and died March 12 in a Peoria hospital. She is survived by her husband her mother sister aunts uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held March 15 at Smiths Chapel and in Hennepin with interment at Riverside cemetery.

Death of Delavan pioneer bat helps Swift family
Frank Clark Swift, a longtime resident born in Whitefield, Kansas, died at his Delavan home after a stroke the prior Saturday. Florid Farmer Chritton Found Dead In Snowbound Home
A Granville area farmer named Chritton, age 76, was found dead last Friday after noon by Will Wescott and Joe Shuck during a timber trip. Coroner Doctor Hartman presided over a jury that returned a verdict of death by heart failure. He leaves a wife Elizabeth Hawk, a daughter Carrie Dougherty, a son Arthur, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The community mourns a solitary, long respected resident who celebrated a golden wedding two years ago.
