In Chicago at the Stock Yards on March 15 Putnam County hogs topped the year’s high in Tuesday trading. Bycaynakt Brothers of Hennepin sold 56 head of choice Spot ted Poland China butcher hogs at 14.20 per cwt, the highest since November 5, with an average 214 pounds. They also sold six sows at 13.50 per cwt and one heavy butcher at 1410, weighing 350 pounds, marking strong demand.
