Royal M Kays owner of Hatchery of Henry died suddenly Friday night from a heart attack at a Miami Beach hotel while waiting to take a home. UFO sightings reported in Henry and surrounding area
Henry residents reported two separate sightings of unidentified flying objects while observers used a telescope and described a large white light, a ring, then a green glow. Reports echoed similar sightings from Galesburg and other nearby locations. Streator Choralaires by Dr William Schiffbauer gave a pre Easter concert at the Methodist church in Streator with Miss Margaret Tomlinson among members.

Frank Adams Resigns as Principal at Henry Senachwine
Henry Senachwine Consolidated High School board met March 9 1967. It accepted Frank Adams resignation effective end of the 1966 67 year. Adams has not yet accepted another position. Calendar for 1967 68 approved start August 28 end May 31 and summer school continued. A survey will gauge student interest for specific high school courses with ten students and a capable teacher, if offered. Tuition for summer courses remains 20 dollars and six week terms begin June 5 with half credit per course.

The Peoria Regional Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit Toluca Marshall County on Wednesday, March 22, from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. A 227 pint goal is set due to county wide drive with doctors expected to attend. Toluca volunteers from Toluca and nearby areas will assist the Peoria staff.

Annual Jaycee Easter Egg Hunt for Henry Children

A string of early Monday break-ins in Putnam County damaged six businesses including Hennepin Food Mart and Rolando's Supper Club. Vandalized windows and doors led to cash losses and stolen cigarettes liquor and change. Lacon Tornado Anniversary Recounts 1942 Devastation
On March 16 1942 a violent tornado decimated Lacon Illinois leaving six dead and hundreds homeless.
