The Magnolia youth center opened with about 350 attendees at the Kountry Kastle near the old Magnolia school. Julie Keller McNabb won a life membership for naming the center, which runs six evenings weekly with bands, games, dances, and a family-oriented, non profit program open to teens from neighboring towns.

The Little League Tag Day results were released by committee directors Max Allard Donald Vandiver Albert Watkins John Keegan and Frank Hageman. The chairman was Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bowen with their team. they raised 502.67 the largest sum ever. Donald Bowen won a Cubs Chicago trip valued at 58.86 and James Watkins 55.33. City Gains 12 Acres and Hears Crossing Continuance
Henry city council approved 12 1/2 acres in Woodlawn Manor and College Subdivision to Daniel and Hunt with performance bonds of 8500 and 1500. An $340,845 appropriation was adopted for year ending 1968. The Interstate Commerce Commission crossing hearing was continued to August 8, 1967 with estimates of 8000 per crossing.
