Tragic accident ends Chillicothe girl playtime
Betty Mae Lloyd Semmer 11 died instantly in a living room accident involving a loaded public safety item during a cowboy cop and robber game in the Griswold apartment. The incident occurred about 11:30 to noon as neighbors visited. Betty Mae was daughter of Mrs Madeline Semmer. funeral held at Weber funeral home. Rites led by Rev A A Rogers. Police say the weapon was routinely loaded and stored yet accessible to visiting children. An inquest convened Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Magnolia Woman Celebrates 81st Birthday
Mrs. Clara Lash, born July 25 1860 in Fayette County Pennsylvania, daughter of A J and Mary A Wabel, moved to Magnolia in 1868 and settled in Henry in 1925. She marked her 81st birthday quietly on Friday.

Mrs. Sarah Rinehart dies at 83 in Putnam Church obituary
Mrs. Sarah Rinehart died at 12 40 am at her daughter’s home in Putnam after years of frail health. Born December 25 1856 near Putnam she married Elijah Rinehart in 1876 and had eleven children plus 27 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Christy Church with burial in Putnam Cemetery.

John Alden Hunter Sets Course for South America
