The new eighteen hole Henry miniature golf course on Front street opened last Thursday night under Francis Keegan management. Located on a large lot owned by George Travis and William Mead, the course features bunkers hazards pools mounds and curves with a par of 50. Up to 75 to 100 players can use the grounds at once and it is open day and night with a clubhouse and attractive fencing completed.

7000 Men at Work on State Highways
The state of Illinois is employing 7000 new on state bond issue road improvement projects. Chief Highway Engineer Frank T. Sheets reported to Director of Public Works and Buildings H. H. Cleaveland and Governor Louis L. Emmerson Friday. During the season contractors completed 188.54 miles of concrete pavement and more than four miles of gravel roads. About thirty-two miles of pavement were laid last week.
