Funeral services were at St Patrick Church Camp Grove with burial at St Patrick's Cemetery.

Hugh Hastings Reports Unusually High Wheat Yield
Hugh Hastings, general agent of Country Life Insurance in Marshall and Putnam counties, harvested wheat on his own farm and rented fields in Steuben Township with a 75 acre yield of 3 bushels per acre. A field treated with 0-20-0 fertilizer yielded 40.5 bushels per acre. Total 2,150 bushels sold for market. Hastings expects good prospects for oats and corn.

Henry High hires Miss Margaret Stipp to teach English
Miss Margaret Anne Stupp of Putnam was accepted to teach English at Henry Town ship High School for 1946 1947. She will teach English I and II including creative writing and will supervise the News of Henry High column and the high school annual. Stipp, a 1946 ISNU graduate with BS in Education and a background in social science, was active in campus life and was named homecoming queen. She now works in the treasury department at Caterpillar in Peoria.
