A Secor bank robbery led to the capture of Howard Black 24 of Springfield and Homer Grub 23 of Irvington after a box of travelers checks and money straps were found near Sandy Creek north of Varna. A third suspect remained at large. all three faced preliminary hearings and were bound over to the September grand jury on burglary charges. Identification came from bank officials and local witnesses, linking the suspects to the maroon Velie car used in the crime.

Life of Mrs Chester Morine of Hennepin Ends Tragically
Emma Myers Morine of Granville became Mrs Chester Morine of Hennepin after a brief illness that led to convulsions. She died Tuesday night at Spring Valley hospital after Monday admission. Lightning Hits Grange Home In Storm Pranks
At about 3 30 in a storm lightning struck the Grange residence with fire in a kitchen brush and damage along the northeast roof area. A tree in the front yard was struck and a clothes line burned as the bolt traveled to the back yard. The brick house escaped serious damage and the Granges credit their luck.

Death of Grace Loa From Sugar Diabetes at Age Eight
Grace Louise Loa died at 8 years 11 months 21 days after a sugar diabetes illness. A shower will be installed for all pool users to improve cleanliness and sanitation. It will also alert middle aged swimmers to weak heart action. Fencing will be repaired so only those near the pool pass under the cold water shower.
Fire Siren To Be Ready Soon In City
The electric fire alarm siren ordered months ago has been mounted on a tower behind the Henry tele phone office. It will be tested for a few days before it replaces the bell for fire alarms. The old bell tower will be modified and repaired.
