Lacon residents Mr and Mrs Frank Ramp of Peoria report on a two day bicycle trip by Mr and Mrs Berty Pettett to Starved Rock. The couple departed Monday morning, rode about fifty miles with a north headwind, arriving at Starved Rock at 3 PM after starting at 7:30 AM. They spent Tuesday at the Rock and returned home Wednesday, aided by a favorable tailwind on most of the return leg.
