Silver Jubilee at Leonore Priest Rev Gensler Celebrates
The congregation of St Peter and Paul in Leonore joined a joyful gathering as Rev Martin Gensler marked twenty five years since his ordination. The ceremony featured high mass, a German sermon, benediction, songs, and a dinner after the procession to the new school. Clergy from Streator Henry and nearby towns attended, including Rev Dean Greve and Very Rev O Kelly with family members among guests. Reverend Gensler delivered a heartfelt speech and the event was celebrated with family support and hospitality.

A man named Orvall Bail was held up on the highway the morning of the Fourth. An auto with a man and a woman stopped him. The woman brandished a gun while the man searched his pockets and found ten dollars in his shirt pocket. About $14 was taken. No suspects or trace of the thieves have been found.

Advertisement notes July 4 as the biggest receipts day in Henry City Bridge history. Warren Atkins injured when a Ford on Front Street hill rolled, striking him after brakes released. He was hospitalized with a dislocated hip and returned home Tuesday evening. a baby in the car slept unharmed.
