Death of D B Huffman Former Sparland Resident
D B Huffman formerly of Saratoga Township and Sparland died at his home near Macon Missouri Fremont Nebraska where they lived before moving to Macon Services were held in Fremont by the Christian Science Church and the Masonic order He had one leg amputated in the spring of 1928 and the remaining limb was removed after two operations in May He was taken home on June 15 Mrs Huffman will move back to Fremont near her two married children.

Illinois Sets State Speed Limit At 45 MPH For Cars
The new law makes the maximum speed on state highways 45 miles an hour for passenger cars and 40 for motor coaches. It took effect at the start of the fiscal year, July 1, with state highway department workers posting signs on state routes. Frank Krenz Suffers Hip Injury From Ladder Fall
