John 5. Hunter Ige, son of Mrs. LH ihning, arrived Saturday with his sister and brother, and Mrs. R. T. Selby of Great Lakes. Steve and Pendleton Oceanside were among others brought from Spe on 7 hawa for possible return to the Pacific with the First Marines, then to the Second Marines in Japan. He was released from the Marine Corps Saturday morning after 21 months, with enlistment at the University of Illinois in 1942 and plans to enter as a sophomore.

Bookmobile to Launch 18 Month Service in Five Counties

Heating Plant Upgrades Planned at Henry Presbyterian Church
At the annual meeting the Henry Presbyterian Church trustees announced plans for a new heating plant and other remodeling. Funds include 750 repair fund, 600 from Henry Building & Loan, 150 from Henry State Bank. A manse garage is under construction by Floyd Tompkins with Henry High School trades class. 1945 receipts were 3,196 with 2,361 in disbursements, balance 1,584.58. Budget for 1946 lists various salaries and 23 for General Assembly. The church will send 1,733 to a war restoration fund during 1945-1947. Sunday School enrollment is 60. treasury balance 30. Mrs. Delia Hartsock reports 60 students and Mrs. John Kirby notes 1945 receipts 1,176.46 and disbursements 663.10, balance 513.36 plus 200 government bonds totaling 713.36.
