The Illinois Poland China Breeders Association met last Thursday at Hotel Henry with 10:30 a m. opening led by President Gam McClugage. Attendance surpassed last year with strong northern state representation. Topics included barrow shows carload lots at Chicago judges membership fees and ad rates. Secretary treasurer’s report showed a debt free year and a year-end balance. 1931 planning dominated the session and members paid 1931 dues. Charles Wold Earlville was elected president and Ernest Kuersmith Warren C. Wi McMillen Chillicothe named secretary. Directors for three years were H J White Somonauk John Ringenberg Tiskilwa and Frank Prescott Mendota.

Mother and Daughter Injured in Prairie City Auto Crash

Their car collided with a grader on Greenman hill near Tiskilwa causing cuts and dental injuries. They were taken to Tiskilwa for care and are recovering. Menty Williams Wombacher, 72, of Peoria formerly of Henry, Illinois, died Tuesday morning after living a life as a contractor and builder. He was born in Germantown, Illinois in November 1858 and married Gertrude Ejerkman fifty one years ago. Survived by widow Gertrude Wombacher, son Walter, daughter Mrs Claude Doran, sister Mrs Lizzie Sommers, and brother John Wombacher of Peoria, another brother Robert in Minnesota. Funeral services held at Boland Mortuary Chapel and Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment at St Joseph's Cemetery. He and his family lived in Henry for years and built the West Richard Street bungalow now occupied by Mr and Mrs J Winship. While in Henry he served on city council and school board. He was known for fine workmanship and many friends in Henry.
