Rites Wednesday At Magnolia For Alvin Brown
Funeral services for Alvin Brown 80 lifelong Magnolia resident were held at the Methodist church in Magnolia. He died Monday January 23 at St Margaret's hospital Spring Valley after a two week illness. The Rev A W Nothdurst officiated and burial was in Henry City Cemetery. Born November 10 1869 near Wenona he married Orn Brahap October 10 1900. He farmed near Magnolia and Wenona before retiring to Magnolia. Surviving are his widow a son Floyd a granddaughter Mrs Dale Spears two brothers Junius and Ira Brown. A son Harold preceded him in death. Friends visited Dysnyt Funeral Home Granville before the service.
