Camp Grove Fox Hunt Called Off For Low Hunters
Sportsmen's club scheduled a fox hunt at Camp Grove for Sunday January 29. Meeting at 9:30 will travel to the hunt area then lunch at Sara town hall. The Camp area hunt was canceled due to insufficient number of hunters. Those who wished to hunt joined the Dunlap hunt in the Dunlap area.

Henry Presbyterian Church Holds Annual Meeting Progress Report
The Henry Presbyterian Church held its annual meeting after a church social potluck. Rev. Roland A. Badger received strong support and a unanimous vote of confidence. Funeral services for Mrs Anna Barry 85
Funeral services for Anna Barry 85 widow of Charles Barry were held at St Marys church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning after a lengthy illness. Born Anna Bickerman in Henry December 8 1870 she lived in Henry most of her life and worked 28 years as head sales lady and buyer for J Watercott company. She married Charles Barry in Chicago in 1914 and lived there until moving to Henry four years ago. Survived by six sisters and a brother with many nieces and nephews. interment in St Patrick's cemetery. Pallbearers named. many relatives attended from multiple towns. card of thanks issued by the family.

Mrs Kinnear Dies. Granville Native and Mother of Mrs Swengel
Mrs Jessie Fox Kinnear former resident of Granville and mother of Mrs Charlotte Swengel of Henry died at 11 30 PM Monday in Cole Hospital Champaign after years as a patient. She taught in Granville and later married Dr Theron Kinnear of Springfield who died in 1922. Survivors include daughters Bertha Berger and Charlotte Swengel and five grandchildren. Memorial services set in Champaign and Springfield with interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery beside her husband. She had been ill since a stroke in 1947 and hospitalised since September.

New Jet Rocket To Pass Through Henry Monday
The Rock Island railway introduces the jet rocket on a Chicago to Peoria press run. It will pass through Henry twice next Monday with stops at stations for public viewing. The trip from Chicago to Peoria takes under two and a half hours, with a 9 30 a m departure and 11 55 a m arrival.

Elmer Lord Attends Ferris Seed Store Opening
Elmer Lord and Henry farmer attended the grand opening of the Ferris Seed store in the Fairbanks building third street entrance. More than 150 visitors registered for barbecue and enjoyed coffee and doughnuts as the store announced a complete line of seeds. The branch belongs to the Ferris Seed company of Princeton owned by Gilbert Weller. Flowers arrived from several organizations and individuals.

Kenneth Edgerly of Gent Avie elected to the Marshall Putnam Fair Association board at the annual meeting held in the Henry State Bank Building.
