Two Streator Men Injured In Car Crash Near Lacon
William Swain and Carrington of Streator were brought to Henry Hospital after their car skidded and overturned on the highway three miles east of Lacon. Carrington was unconscious under the wreckage. Swain suffered a skull fracture and severe head lacerations. They were found by a passing motorist and rushed to a farm house for aid. both men are brothers in law and were en route to Athens for Swain’s aunt's funeral. Carrington left the hospital. Swain remains hospitalized with exposure to cold and extensive stitches. Doctor Coggshall noted the unusual number of sutures used.

Miss Blanche Conkey, daughter of Mrs Malissa Conkey, died at Putnam on November 21 1924 after a long illness.
