Charles Heininger Heaken by Death in Putnam
Charles William Heininger died in Putnam on January 16, 1936, at age 34 after pneumonia. He was born September 6, 1901, in Henry, educated in Henry and Putnam, and worked as highway patrolman before dying. He married Evalyn Shatto in 1929 and leaves three children, three sisters, two half-brothers, a stepmother, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Putnam Christian church with interment in Putnam cemetery.

Citizens of Chillicothe may attend the nationwide Birthday Ball for the President on Thursday night January 30 in the city hall. A card party dance and style show will raise funds for infantile paralysis research. Features include a 9 member band, a style show by six local young ladies, and door prizes with profits supporting the crusade. Tickets 25 cents for card party 40 cents for dance plus 25 cents for the style show admission.

Susie Ellen Kingdon Kruger wife of George Kruger died near Camp Grove January 18 1936 aged nearly 83 after long heart illness. Born September 26 1868 in Jubilee township Peoria county she lived on a Camp Grove farm with one son John W Kruger and grandson Roland. She helped in church life at Brimfield and Brimfield Cemetery burial followed with service by Rev R N Johnston and songs by local singers.

Augusta Anderson 71 died at St Margaret s hospital after a long illness. Born in Denmark August 15 1854 she lived in the United States and Putnam County for over twenty years. She is survived by her husband John H. Anderson. Funeral services were held today with burial in the Friends cemetery at Magholia.
