Hobby Show At Varna March Sponsored By Home Bureau
The second annual hobby and antique show sponsored by the Marshall Putnam Home Bureau will be held March 20 and 21 at the Varna gym. Last year’s event at Henry High School drew large crowds and prompted a larger venue this year. Exhibits will fill the Varna High School first floor including the gym and classrooms with plans for an old fashioned parlor kitchen and nursery. Committee names will be announced soon. The Methodist W S C S Study Class met Tuesday at Mrs. Steele home to study the first lesson of a six week course and other local activities were noted including a trip to Sonja Henie Ice Revue in Chicago and visitors to Mrs. Scaggs’ home.

Langston of Lacon, district librarian, says the service brings books audio-visual materials records and pictures to residents where regular library service is unavailable.
