30,000 Lbs Of Chemical Stolen From Bulk Station
About 30,000 pounds of dry and liquid chemicals stored in cans and boxes were reported missing from the Marshall Putnam Oil Company bulk station near Henry. Operations manager Gary Underwood said a door lock was forced and police were notified at 5:15 p.m. Monday. The theft, which affected higher priced chemicals, was discovered Tuesday morning with cheaper items left untouched. The Marshall County Sheriff's Department, aided by the Henry Police Department, investigated.

Vandiver to Become Eagle Scout at Court of Honor
Jim Vandiver son of Mr and Mrs Don Vandiver of Henry will receive the Eagle Scout badge and medal from Scoutmaster Don Flinner at the Court of Honor ceremony and dinner. A rash of nuisance and obscene calls has been reported in Henry over the past month with late night harassing calls toward women. The General Telephone Company and Henry Police urge reporting to both agencies. Tracing equipment is available and could trap the caller. penalties include up to $200 fine or six months in jail.
