Sidewalk To Henry Cemetery Reopens After Hedge Removal
For years the Route 29 sidewalk to Henry Cemetery was blocked by an overgrown hedge. Charles Heinrich purchased nearby land south of the cemetery, cleared the hedge, added a wire fence, and made improvements. The restored sidewalk is usable again and the community expresses gratitude for the work.

Funeral services were held for James B. Curry 65 who died of a heart attack at his brother Joseph Curry’s home in Streator. Services began at 8:30 p.m. at the Curry home and 9:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. He is survived by four brothers and two sisters, with four brothers and one sister predeceasing him.
