John Fehring aged founder of the Minonk area and eldest resident died at 8:80 am at his home one mile north after a day of illness. Born in Germany August 29 1883 he came to the U S in 1885 and settled in the township later moving to Minonk where he lived 63 years. He married Mary Schulze in 1861 and celebrated 62 years of marriage. Survived by widow and children Charles Minnie Otto Louis Henry Joseph and Margaret. funeral Tuesday at Patrick's church with burial in the Catholic cemetery attended by local relatives.
