Mrs E Christian Dies. Rites Held in Acworth
John Christian of the News Republican was dispatched to Chicago after the death of his mother Mrs E Christian aged 73. She died last Friday morning and is survived by three daughters and three sons. Burial occurred at Acworth Georgia on Saturday morning.

To finish the term the board considers using a nearby clubhouse near the railroad. Miss Vivian Evans estimates losses in books at six thousand to seven hundred dollars. Insurance on the building was thirteen hundred dollars.

Alumni Association Dance at Henry Opera House a Big Success
The Henry Alumni Association hosted a festive dance at the Henry Opera House with LaRocca's six piece orchestra and Paul LaRocca from Peoria. Door Falls on Baby In Le Rose injures Leg
Stanley Scudder two year old son of Mr and Mrs S Scudder of Le Rose suffers a greenstick fracture in the right leg between knee and ankle when a rarely used door falls on him Wednesday afternoon. The child was playing near the door and the frame was insecure. Recovery will take several weeks before he resumes normal activity.

Car Flips Over Crow Creek Bridge In Icy Crash
An icy morning accident near Chillicothe sent a Ford sedan skidding from the Crow Creek bridge. The car somersaulted into the creek bed twenty five feet below. two men and a woman were injured and taken to a nearby farmhouse for a physician. The vehicle was badly wrecked.

Robbers Strike Sparland Businesses Again
Sparland saw two break ins on Saturday night at Geha's hardware store and a nearby pool room and barber shop. Intruders entered through a rear window, ransacked the tin shop and mat store, and seized cutlery, flashlights, chisels, and more. Harry Frisbey's pool room and barber shop also were entered from the rear with about $60 in cash and a large amount of cigarettes, cigars, and tobacco stolen.
