Mrs. Julia Saunders, 63, longtime Streator resident and widow of Phillip Saunders, died Saturday at People's Hospital Peoria after a paralytic stroke and declining health. Survived by daughters Mrs. Jeanette Smith and Mrs. Joe Whitaker and son Phillip. three grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Harvard with burial there.

Granville Man Dies From Stroke at 71

Prominent Chillicothe Man Ends Life at Princeville Canning Plant
Henry Truitt, prominent Chillicothe figure and president of the Princeville Canning company, died by his own hand at the Princeville plant after a period of ill health and financial reverses. Coroner William Beanett ruled the death a suicide. He was 47, survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. Funeral services were held at the First Congregational church in Chillicothe with burial in the city cemetery.
