City Council Raises Two Salaries and Approves Notices
City Council met Monday evening and approved January 1 1975 pay raises for Policeman Alan Hare from 750 to 775 dollars and City Collector Irene Carlson from 390 to 430 dollars. They renewed Streator Disposal Companys trash license for a year and noted an 800 dollar state payment for the Henry Harbor Disaster Fund. The final 1974 street maintenance payment to Strunk Bros amounted to 18481.01 dollars. The Waterworks Park well was abandoned and the American Legion was approved use of two city parks for the Fourth of July observance with officials Bob Davis and Henry CD present.

Car Totaled in Camp Grove Crash Injures Two
Kurt Lee Streitmatter 20 of Wyoming was taken to Proctor Hospital after a Sunday morning crash one mile south of Camp Grove on Route 88 in LaPrairie Township. He lost control northbound, hit dirt hills and a bridge embankment, then slid. A 17-year-old passenger was also hospitalized for observation.
