Fire destroys Pearson coal mine building
A fire of unknown origin last Wednesday evening destroyed the mining building at the Pearson coal mine. The Pearson family discovered the flames around 6 o clock and reports say the blaze spread quickly, burning the structure to the ground and destroying miners clothing and lamps.

D. of I. Local Chapter Holds Social Meeting

Death Angel Claims Seven Dr H C Swift

She was an active Methodist and member of several local groups including the Ladies Bible Class Circle No 7 Green Valley Club and Sumpter Grange.
