Sparland Man Awarded Pension by County Board
Walter Pride, 82, of Sparland, received a blind pension Monday from the Marshall County Board of Supervisors after witnesses J. O. Peintner and F. Gebr. testified he is almost blind and entitled to aid. The board also voted to purchase glasses for Henrietta Gray, daughter of the late World War II veteran James Henry, who was killed in Whitefield Town.

Anton Stadel, longtime Henry resident, died at home December 2 1937 after bronchial pneumonia. Born January 27 1858 on Hank's Hill Hopewell Township Illinois he lived on the Stadel farm then moved to Henry with his wife Sophia Wunder.
