Henry man Parker dies after illness at 92
Henry Parker a longtime printer and businessman in Henry Illinois died Tuesday at Margaret's Hospital after several days of failing health. Born in Peoria in 1825, he married twice and built a local printing business later moving to Henry. Survived by a sister Alice Walker of Peoria and brothers Charles of Pittsburg Oliver of Ottawa and a niece lived relatives. He was active in the local Republican party and the Henry Building Association and mentored youth and sports.

Sam Fulks Returns From California Enlists in Reserve
Sam Fulks, after graduating Henry High School last June, worked at the United States Arsenal in Benicia California repairing army tanks. He returns to Henry and plans to enlist in the all corps reserve, aiming for activation. He traveled back with Russell Brookman hitchhiking via Las Vegas Phoenix El Paso San Antonio Houston New Orleans and other cities while enjoying sights along the Redwood Highway. Both wore cowboy boots bought in San Antonio to fit local style.

Billy Dale 23 days old son of Mr and Mrs David Harris of Magnolia Township died Thursday night Nov 5 while sleeping with his parents at their home a mile west of the Swaney school Coroner P Hartman of Putnam County held an inquest at the Dysart funeral chapel Granville The jury returned a verdict of death unknown and asked for further investigation including the mother’s mentality.

She was born in Henry, taught music in Henry Rutland and nearby country schools, and was active in church. Surviving relatives include a California nephew and relatives in Normal and Sterling. Services Friday at 2 p.m. at LindBloom Funeral Chapel with Rev Richard Pritchard officiating. Burial in Henry City Cemetery.
