Fr Schumacher Returns Home From World Tour
Fr Schumacher arrives home this morning around 10 o clock completing the final lap of his world tour in a Volkswagen shipped from Germany by Hamburg American Lines. Fr Laurence and Fr Jon left Brooklyn yesterday in their Volkswagen and covered the last 585 miles by 10 am today.

Dear St Marys parishioners and Henry citizens recount a August 26 1960 KLM flight from Amsterdam to New York on Flight 641. The 130 passengers flew in an all daylight nonstop trip lasting about eight hours in a Boeing 707 with economy seating. The writer notes crowded conditions and difficulty securing reservations after months of attempts.

Mrs Patsy Barnes 82 Laid To Rest In Henry
Funeral services for Patsy Walker Barnes 82 widow of Harry J Barnes were held at Green Funeral Home Henry with Rev Darrell Williams officiating. She died August 25 1969 at St Marys Hospital Streator after a ten day illness. Interment in Henry city cemetery followed. pallbearers listed. She was born April 1 1878 Forest City Illinois and survived by son John Delbert Barnes his wife Sizellie Bloomington and a grandson and granddaughter. Her husband preceded her in death.
