J D Mattison, chief engineer of the Peoria district, said bids will be sought soon to modernize Route 29 at the west edge of Henry. The project, 1.96 miles long from Western avenue south, will be a two lane concrete highway at an estimated cost of 295000 dollars. Traffic will not be disrupted during winter, with construction starting in fall if awarded in September.
