James Williams Don Britton and Stanley Shanks joined leader Cliff Carrier in water skiing rifle range capocing and the big campfire circle before camping out. Next Tuesday evening Explorer Scouts meet at Explorer Hall for a regular Post meeting and all are urged to attend.

Forrest Infant Dies Last Rites Sunday
Funeral services were held for Louis Forrest two month old son of Walter G and Elsie Carr Forrest who died in his sleep at home in Henry Friday. Burial followed at Putnam cemetery Marshall County. Coroner Robert Pries will hold an inquest after autopsy results. The infant was born June 9, 1961. Surviving are his parents a brother Walter Jr a sister Bertha Marie and grandmother Mrs Walter Forrest Sr of Henry.

Bryden Station Opens In New Sparland Building
Bryden Service Station at Sparland now operating in a new building with two stalls large enough for trucks and buses and a business office. Frank Bryden and son Willam own and run the station started in 1930 by Frank and his father. The Brydens also lease six Sparland School Unit No. 3 buses. The old structure was moved to Lacon. Phillip Bischler visited Charles Heinrich. Albert Heinrich called on Phillip Bischler last Sunday.

Public drawings for duck blind sites on state owned hunting grounds in Marshall county will occur Saturday August 19 at the Marshall County Public Shooting grounds south of Lacon and at Sparland Public grounds.
